TAC has established several benefits to allow employees time off from work for relaxation and to take care of their health needs and the health care needs of their family. The highlights of those benefits are listed below: however, be sure to review the TAC Employee Handbook for details regarding these and other benefits.
TAC recognizes vacation time not only as a way to reward employees but as a way to aid employees in their effectiveness on the job.
Regular full-time employees (those scheduled to work 40 hours per week) and regular part-time employees, (those scheduled to work at least 32 but less than 40 hours per week) earn vacation benefits, which are credited annually on their anniversary date, based on the following schedule:
|SERVICE AMOUNT||VACATION DAYS EARNED|
|After one year of continuous service||5 days|
|After two years of continuous service||10 days|
Holidays – Regular full-time and regular part-time employees enjoy the following holidays each year:
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- July 4th
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
- Floating Holiday (2)
At the beginning of each year, management will assign the two floating holidays.
TAC also provides protection for its regular full-time and regular part-time employees against the loss of income due to injury or illness. Regular full-time employees accrue 1/2 day of paid sick leave for each completed month of employment for a maximum of six paid sick leave days per calendar year. Regular part-time employees accrue ¼ day of paid sick leave for each completed month of employment for a maximum of 3 paid sick leave days per calendar year.
